About Me

"WHY HUMANS?"

Bridging Humanity and Digital Realms

I'm a digital artist passionate about merging humanity with digital media. My portfolio features digital paintings, illustrations, animations, video editing, and coding projects involving software operations and hardware installations. I explore the interplay between organic bodies and the limitless potential of digital art, aiming to provoke thought and inspire contemplation within the virtual realm.

Exploring Futures and Multiverses

My art explores apocalyptic scenarios, science-fiction innovations, human-robot dynamics, and humanized animals to envision possible futures given current social issues. I aim to provoke reflection and dialogue about the world we're creating and the paths we're on. Welcome to my vision of tomorrow.

Unveiling the Essence of AI

I delve into the world of AI-generated content and the construction of AI setups. My art brings AI to life through robotic installations and animated stories. Join me in exploring the fusion of technology and creativity in the evolving human-AI relationship.

Personal Introduction

CURRENT PROJECT: LIKE

Concept

Proposal Image 1

"LIKE" showcases a half-human, half-cat character in a series of selfies, blending surreal settings with shifting aesthetics. Exploring identity, self-presentation, and societal expectations, it critiques the performative nature of social media while celebrating its potential for self-expression, inviting viewers to reflect on digital validation and individuality.

Seeking Validation

Proposal Image 1

"is this how I want to look like? is this who I want to be?" In this phase, I aim to make a sequence dancing animations and stream them on social media, discussing how social media has this way of holding up a mirror--reflecting what society expects of us.

Questioning Identity

Proposal Image 1

"do I actually like this? Is this really me?" Coming to the reallization moment of questioning the purposes, this is a battle between expectation and reflection. Right here the character starts to develop their personality through programming.

Embracing Authencity

Physical Installation Image

"what does it mean to like yourself?" Hopefully we all begins to let go of societal expectations, express who we truly are instead of performing for others. To demonstrate the organic and primitive personalities, I will make the character into an avator driven by the programmed AI.

Personality

"do you perform for others?" With the given personality, I will be challenging towards this AI and ask the AI to consider and form opinions on current social issues with the integration of psychology, for which they will now have moods and personal opinions when interacting.

Socialization

"do you dare to be yourself?" To be more connected to our world and be more auhentic, I will introduce the world setting and some other AIs with unique personalities to the existing AI, and see how they performs under a simulated society, explore the effects of socialization.

MULTI-MEDIA

What's Left to Say (2024)
Digital painting, animation, interactive media, programming (OpenAI API integration), web-based installation An interactive AI persona blending digital painting, Live2D animation, and OpenAI's API. Originating as a self-portrait, it evolves into a dynamic character engaging audiences in real-time conversations, exploring self-representation, human-machine boundaries, and AI’s role in art, inviting reflection on the intersection of identity, technology, and humanity.

ANIMATION

cyb-heartbeat (2022)
"cyb-heartbeat" is a hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation paired with a crafted doll backdrop. This GIF explores artificial emotion, blending human creativity with technological expression, provoking thought about the boundaries between humanity and digital innovation.

Phone-nomena (2023)
"Phone-nomena" is an animation examining the risks of over-reliance on electronic devices. Through vivid visuals and sound, it critiques technology's encroachment on human connections, aligning with themes of human-computer interaction and the societal impact of digital dependency.

hello_world dreams (2022)
"hello_world dreams" explores an AI’s perspective on human manipulation, addressing gender discrimination and societal inequalities. Through a female figure, the animation critiques the ethical complexities of AI, intertwining technology and social issues to provoke critical reflection.

Recoil (2023)
"Recoil" is a mixed-media video combining 2D/3D animation and real-life footage to critique environmental exploitation and technological overdevelopment. Featuring a half-human, half-animal figure, it emphasizes humanity's intrinsic connection to nature while envisioning an apocalyptic outcome, urging reflection on our ecological and technological choices.

Chronicles of the Lamb (2023)
"Chronicles of the Lamb" uses a half-human, half-animal figure to examine how myths and stereotypes drive bias and discrimination. This animation challenges perceptions of lambs, reflecting on societal misunderstandings and encouraging empathy through a more inclusive, unbiased lens.

What to Eat? (2023)
"What to Eat?" is a 3D animation crafted in Quill on a VR headset, blending humor and innovation. Featuring a robot fishing with a battery as bait, it challenges personal biases and assumptions, inviting viewers to explore broader perspectives through an immersive hand-drawn-like 3D visual style.

MEOW! (2023)
"MEOW!" is a 3D animation featuring a playful cat outsmarting house maintenance AI robots, only to reveal itself as a robot. This twist underscores the deceptive nature of appearances, exploring how technology can both serve and mislead, reflecting on our evolving relationship with AI.

The Shadow (2024)
"The Shadow" combines 3D and 2D animation to depict a future human emotionally confined by overdeveloped technology, guided toward reconnection by their animated shadow. This visually striking piece explores self-healing and the complex duality of technology's impact on human relationships.

ROBOTIC

Arcane Orb (2023)
"Arcane Orb" integrates Arduino Nano, a tilt sensor, LED light strips, and 3D modeling to create an interactive magical sphere. Responding to movements with dynamic color sequences, it examines the connection between human actions, robotics, and emotional values, showcasing the harmony between technology and human expression.

Lights Out (2023)
"Lights Out" is a wearable robotic glove combining Arduino Nano, flex sensors, LED light strips, and 3D-printed components. Reacting to hand movements, it shuts off lights with a fist and illuminates with an open hand, exploring cyborg concepts and the integration of robotics into daily life.

REDS! (2023)
"REDS!" combines MAX8, Arduino Uno, a USB camera, and 3D-printed components to detect and react to the color red. The robot mimics human perception, complaining when red is absent and turning toward detected red, questioning the boundaries between robotics and human behavior.
